Music Together is an internationally celebrated music education program for children ages 0-5 that children enjoy with a parent or caregiver. Music Together has a wonderful collection of songs, a solid researched-based curriculum, a wide variety of activities along with excellent take-home materials. We searched, and tried, quite a few programs before a colleague recommended this program to us and we have found it to be the very best in early childhood music.
Each nine (9) week session families have a certified Music Together instructor guide them through participatory activities for each 45-minute class. All of our teachers are passionate about music and enjoy bringing music to families (I mean the adults have to sit there for 45-minutes, they should enjoy themselves too, right?!).
Registration Fee Includes:
- Two (2) professionally recorded, and produced, CD's with more than 25 songs per session
- A songbook with lyrics, music, ideas for in-home use, guitar tabs, chords and illustrations
- Nine (9), 45-minute classes with the ability to make-up two (2) classes in the session
- Musical memories that will last a lifetime (eat your heart out Hallmark)!
What do we do in a Music Together class?
- We sing some traditional favorite songs and learn lots of new songs too.
- We play with egg shakers, drums, scarves, bells, rhythm sticks and a whole lot more.
- We move and dance to multicultural songs (Greek, Hebrew, African, Native American, etc.)
- We get out of the house, make new friends and meet lots of cool families.
- Did we mention that you get out of the house and get to hang with other adults!?!
Class Registration Fees:
- Registration Cost is $180.00 per session
- New Families add a one-time registration fee is $15.00
- I have another child (that's cool) and the sibling fee is $100.00
- I have a newborn that under 6 months (that's cool too) and they are FREE!!
- My child's grandparents want to attend classes too--that's awesome!!
- My nanny has a child (also cool) and they pay the sibling fee of $100.00
Do I have to sing, play and dance? I am not a musician!
Off with your head! Just kidding of course! In our classes we understand that children participate at whatever level they are comfortable doing in class--some observe, some cling, some actively participate and others engage moderately or as the session progresses. Adults are free to participate in whatever way makes them comfortable too! What you might notice is that your child will go home and act out the class or start singing notes, or even songs. Guess what, you might too! We take some responsibility for that, but really parent involvement is the key to a child's love and ability in music--despite their own musical ability.
We hope to see you soon!
