DRUM-UP CHARACTER
The children at the Hillside School had a blast with Tom and Dan
drumming together as they learned about inclusion, a school theme.

 

MAMADY "WADABA" KOUROUMA
Tom and Dan at a workshop this time with Wadaba (aka: The Great Panther).
With great power and a methodic approach, Wadaba taught a jam packed class
a challenging rhythm called "Kowa" and a few solo lines for the djembe.

 

TEMPLE SINAI MULTI-GENERATIONAL DRUM CIRCLE
Tom, Dan and Moussa provided a fantastic, intergenerational drum circle at Temple
Sinai 
in Worchester after the Simchat Torah service. Everyone had a blast drumming
together,
particularly this seven-year-old who was blazing on the djembe!

 

STAFF TEAM-BUILDING WORKSHOP
Guided by Tom and Dan Foote, the 80+ staff of the Medfield Schools enjoyed a
dynamic half-day workshop together. And yes, they completely rocked!

 

FAMADOU KONATE
Tom Foote recently attended a workshop with legendary djembe master Famoudou
Konate. It was amazing, and a real treat, to learn from such a gifted teacher.

 

MAMADY KEITA
RhythmKids staff members Tom and Dan Foote at a recent workshop with
the
legendary master drummer and master teacher Mamady Keita. This was
an experience like no other.

 

AFRICAN DRUMMING SHOW
Master Drummer Sory Diabate, from Mali, and Tom Foote play together during a concert.

 

MIDDLE SCHOOL AFRICAN TROUPE
These Middle School drummers performed the African rhythm "Kuku"
to a packed crowd and received a well-deserved standing ovation!

 

DRUM CIRCLE FACILITATION
Tom and Dan Foote were on hand to facilitate an energetic family drum circle. It
was a wonderful experience to have people of all ages drumming together!

 

RHYTHMKIDS CLASS PERFORMANCE
Always looking for places to perform, Tom Foote and the RhythmKids drummers jam
on the Malian rhythm "Dansa" live for the Weston Town Green Summer concerts series.

 

RHYTHMKIDS DRUMMING CLASS
This African drumming class completed four rhythm patterns from Fanga, a
difficult rhythm from Liberia. Most of them are only 1st-4th graders!

 

MORNING MEETING DRUM CIRCLE
This class from Needham Elementary begins and ends each day with a community
style drum circle, many of the rhythms are taught by Tom from RhythmKids.

 

IN-SCHOOL RESIDENCY
These Kindergarteners are having a BLAST as they learn traditional
African rhythms together and jam to the beat.
